BCN Lounge question

So the wife and I are departing from BCN, but she is heading nonstop to the US; I am traveling the same day but flying through CDG.

We are both in business.

Will we have to split up and use different lounges (schengen/non-schengen) or can we stay together until boarding?

Assuming you are both flying from terminal 1... (All flights that I know of to the US and CDG leave from T1, but I might have missed some.)

Officially there are separate lounges for the Schengen and non-Schengen area. But she is able to stay, after security, in the Schengen area and should be able (but I have never tried it) to join you in the Schengen area lounge. Both lounges are operated by the same company (not the airlines) so I don't expect them to make an issue out of it.

Close to her flight she can go up to passport control and enter the non-Schengen area. Passport control usually takes a few minutes only. (I have recently read some horror stories about long waiting times, but have never experienced them myself.) Staying in the Schengen area until close to your flight is even advised (by the airport itself) even if you do not use the lounge. There are only a limited number of shops, restaurants etc. in the non-Schengen area.
