Passport control and terminal access at MAD with overnight connection
My son will be arriving at MAD from IST in late evening (around 11:00 p.m.) with a connection early the next morning to TGR. If both arriving and departing flights are from the same terminal, will he have to pass through Spanish immigration and customs checks if he is planning to just stay overnight in the terminal before his early morning flight to Morocco? For that matter, does MAD even allow passengers to sit in the terminal overnight?
