Are they setting up for a presser right now? It's 2:35PM CST now. (3:35 CDT)
Although it's after 10 HST (they don't have daylight time), so I'm not sure what was originally published. It would probably be HST or CDT, not CST.

Actually, it was 3:30pm your time, not 2pm. 2pm is MST.

It was 3:35 CDT, 2:35 CST, 2:35 MDT, 1:35 MST.
It seems more plausible that Southwest would announce a press conference in CDT, since that's where Dallas is and everybody in the Central time zone uses Daylight time.
If they announced it as HST, well that would be purposely releasing the cat from the bag...

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I wouldn't put too much stake in station decorations as a sign of anything. I believe this week is Spirit week at WN and stations typically use themed decorations to compete and celebrate. Could just be a weird coincidence that LAX chose a "tropical" theme.
