Last call for 8 free RR credits for new members

Through January 31, new Rapid Rewards members can get 8 free credits (halfway to a domestic round trip award) for signing up at https://www.southwest.com/rrenroll/dulles/

The credits post immediately.

This is an amazingly generous offer, in that you do not need to fly at all to get the credits. But if you already have a Rapid Rewards account, please don't give FT a bad name by trying to open another one. Enroll your kids. Or tell your friends and have them enroll their kids. Be responsible.

Is this just for people in Northern Virginia? I see that it has Dulles in the link.

Thanks. I'll make sure the rest of the family signs up for RR today. They don't fly SW a lot, but with the 8 credits I'm sure they'll be able to make it.

If I recall correctly, they showed up for my friend's child when I checked the account less than a minute after the signup.

And we're sure a DC address isn't required?

Follow up... my cousin is a college student, but is over 23 (24)... do they actually verify age along the way somewhere?

Just did it for a friend. Worked fine. Used Texas address. Got credit for 8 immediately.

Apparently, the college program and the bonus are not combinable.

My 4-month old now has 8 credits, not sure how to get him over the top for a RR ticket as he currently flies for free. Was tempted to add him our upcoming MR to San Diego but couldn't justify paying $99 RT for his seat even with the CA free ticket promo. I guess he will just have to get a credit card or maybe rent a car.

You've got 2 years until his 8 credits expire. Just wait until Choice Visa has another signup promo and then signup and transfer some Choice points over to top him off.

No. You receive only 4 credits if you specify that you are a college student. Then, however, you only need 3 roundtrips for a free flight versus 4.
