Southwest Schedule extension Dec 6 for May 2 - June 2, 2017

Any rumors or any specific new routes? Any new city?

The next schedule extension is on December 6, 2016 for May 2 to June 2, 2017.

Let the speculation begin.

5 stops!

My home is AMA, and when looking at some pairs I have traveled, there are tons of new options with crazy stops! Lots with 3 and 4 stops.

My favorite is AMA to SJU with five stops!!

I love Southwest but it really is becoming the greyhound!

Playing around with the new extension (and Amadeus) switch today for the extended schedule. The crazy number of stops is the first thing I noticed! You don't have to look hard at all to see 3, 4, 5 stops! No I don't need to go to ABQ, DAL, then SAN to get to Tucson. WTH were they thinking? That's a really big bug not to catch. A 6 hr trip could easily turn into a 12 hr trip with that crap.

The second thing I've noticed is that intl bookings still "look" different. I thought both booking engines would become the same with the switchover, but it still seems to me intl and domestic bookings are "separate."

Anyone else notice weird things?

It seems glitchy to me. I've had more than half of my attempted bookings fail and have to restart.

Worse than that, I have not yet been able to book a(n accompanied) minor ticket on a separate PNR tied to any of the tickets for an adult traveling that was booked this morning. Never had a problem with this previously.

It looks like the maximum number for forms of payment was reduced from 4 to 3 with the transition. I received an error when 3 GC/voucher did not fully cover the amount.

I tried to call the WN AList # to confirm, but never got through after 30 minutes of hold. There must be bigger issues out there, pr they have fewer phone agents supporting Amadeus (phone tree has you select by travel date).

Not a real problem, just an increase in dummy flights to consolidate vouchers under one PNR.

(Long time lurker but first time poster)

Yeah, I was under the impression that both domestic and international would have the same "look" that you're referring to. International bookings still go to global.southwest.com so they're still seperate systems somewhere along the way.

Perhaps we should start a thread as a contest to find the longest route in time and the most number of stops.

And the winner has to buy a ticket on that route and take it. Haha.

Well the "upgrade" clearly got rid of the one stop, one plane change limitation! Blew right by that one...

I was waiting to book my wife on a one Way MSP/BWI. SW Points were over 15K

I have ton of AA miles and was shocked to find an AA flight that arrived about the same time in BWI for 12.5K AA miles so I grabbed it.

I realize the SW points could go down but I rarely see and AA under 20k one way on the routes I fly.

I had to use 30K AA for a one way LSE/BDL in Sept as I will be at a wedding near LSE the day before

I haven't found any with more than one plane change yet.
