premium fuel required?

Sixt offers a lot of European cars in the US that the EPA says use premium gas. Are renters required to buy it as a condition of the contract, or is regular gas acceptable?

I do mid grade for those vehicles (e.g. BMW 3-series)

Depends on the car. If premium is required, you should use it. Otherwise you could get lower mpg and engine knocking with lower grade gas.

Premium recommend - you are okay to use regular
