You mean that you want to donate your Krisflyer miles?

There is nothing for this set up yet. You may contact Krisflyer directly and see if they have anything set up for this. They can be quite anal about this sort of thing and you might actually see that it's more hassle than it's worth.

Perhaps a small monetary donation is better. At least it's tax deductable.

CX was quite fast in emailing us about their AsiaMiles donation. CX also pledges to match the amount of miles donated. CX has also announced on its portal web site about 'flexible' ticketing arrangements for those affected.

I am a bit surprised SQ, which by any means has a more extensive network than CX, does not appear keen in taking similar actions. At least I haven't been alerted in any way via email or through their main portal.

Not that I'm unwilling to part with my miles or anything, but frankly I think the disaster victims would get more mileage (ouch) out of cash donations than airmiles. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to what donating miles can do towards the relief/rebuilding efforts.

ETA: Okay, I guess it is supposed to be for flying relief/aid workers to the destinations.

I think the cash will be easier to get them to their destinations faster. Can you imagine trying to get a seat on an award ticket on SQ?
