SQ will still make a profit in the millions of dollars.

Sounds credible, especially with the amount of sale activities going on in SIN at the moment. Swiss had promotions for $777 earlier this month. Etihad, Finnair, etc, are also having big sales. And with the Milan-bound 777 catching fire not too long ago, it would be difficult to keep a high yield.

I have SQ flights to ZRH booked for Sep 2016, Jan 2017 and Jun 2017.

Never given any thought to not going, despite the terrible things that have happened.

I could believe some impact, but "massive"?

Europe - SIN is a yield desaster for most airlines (too much capacity).
Oct/Nov travel often runs at EUR 450 return in Y.

Interesting that at the moment SQ seems to be adding Europe capacity, with the DUS services, and dedicated DME & BCN services coming online as well with drop of GRU and shifting of IAH to transit MAN.

Well, just received this...

We would like to inform you that flight SQ068 SIN-BCN xx Nov 2016, originally departing at 0050 hours, has been rescheduled to SQ378 SIN-BCN xx Nov 2016 departing 2345 hours.

No more direct BCN flights?

Please expand on this point. I am struggling to understand how that incident has any connection to future yield/load to Europe, unless you are implying that customers would be reluctant to book SQ in future out of fear.

Well this should be deep discounted economy which won't earn much miles. The "full" miles ex-SIN normally quite expensive. Also C class ex-SIN is still not been discounted. It is still quite significantly more expensive compare to ex-BKK, ex-KUL.

I guess many airlines just tried to secure some load especially those flying back.
