Correct. Though not great, it is the best!

I'm flying HKG-SFO in first and have HKG-SIN-JFK as waitlisted for suites. If the waitlist ever clears, would it be worth it to pay the mileage and fee difference for suites? Or would first on the 77w be comparable? Thanks.

I would think that parts of your calculation would be whether the amount of time and connections traveling is a factor, the closely linked matter of where you want to end up on this trip (SFO? JFK? elsewhere?), and how many extra miles and $$ it would cost you. But if none of these are major considerations, I'd go with the A380 suite. The regular 77W F is superb, but the A380 is even nicer by virtue of the F suite's privacy.

Another argument for passing through SIN is that if SQ's (for F passengers only) Private Room there is open before your departure (which I'd assume would be the case), it's a lovely place to hang out and have a nice meal and some bubbly. And the airport itself is a great place to wander around; probably the nicest airport in the world, with features such as a butterfly garden.

Really the only difference these days comes down to the seats, because the First and Suite soft products are identical now.

SQ2/SQ1 have been performed by 77WN aircraft consistently since April this year.

Does that mean it would be the old F as well?

SQ1 departed SFO at 0110 hours on Thursday, 6 Aug 2015, took off at 0133 and was performed
by frame 9V-SWU. I have the actual flight record.

9V-SWU is one of the 6 77WN aircraft.

SQ refers to 773 as regional 777s and these won't get the new products.

Only 6 777WNs have been reconfigured with the latest F and J products.

There are 6 77WNs which have all been delivered new with the new seats already in place (SWU,V,W,Y,Z,SNA).

Two existing 77Ws (SWK/SWJ) were retrofitted with 4F (77WT config).

So there are 8 aircraft in total at the moment flying with the 2013 products - 2 with 4xF and 6 with 8xF.

Two more are to be delivered within the year (SNB/SNC), and the other existing 77Ws will progressively be retrofitted to the 4F+PY config (77WR).

You left out SWL, which is the first 77WR. Also, SWJ is in the process of getting its compliment of PEY seats, so when it hatches, it will be a second 77WR. Then SWK will get PEY, and become the third 77WR (and extinguish the 77WT).

Booked to saver awards in F class for SQ 2 this Dec.
I'm wondering if they'll have the new seats or the old ones?

I've also chosen 1D and 1F even-though I'm travelling with my spouse because I want a window seat. Will they force us to take 1C and 1D?

How can they force you to take a different seat?
