SQ doesn't offer arrivals lounges at SIN. In fact, they tend to abandon their premium passengers at the aircraft door.

I've used TPR for evening drinks and dinner, stayed overnight in the transit hotel, and then returned to TPR in the morning for breakfast before a SQ flight in FC with no problems.

Don't forget that if you go land side, you can re-enter the airport at SQ's FC check in lounge and do passport control there, close to the T3 lounge and TPR. However, the FC check in lounge isn't open 24/7; it closed late in the evening.

You do not need 2 invitations. It's not the subway!
I got a second invitation to TPR which they took when they escorted me in and showed me around.

This perk is available to Solitaire PPS members.

"If you are arriving in Singapore on a Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flight, we welcome you to freshen up in the First Class area of the SilverKris Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 2 or 3.

You may invite a guest who is travelling with you on the same flight. Simply present your boarding pass and membership card to our staff."

Not sure your definition of late evening but I routinely check in for my midnight flight at the T3 FC checkin lounge. In any case the hours are: daily from 0530 to 0200 hours at both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

I recently flew PVG-SIN in F and then SIN-FRA in J later that night.
I just showed by J boarding pass (which stated I was invited to the F lounge) and told them I'd flown in on Suites. I didn't show my stub or ask for TPR access but was led straight to TPR nonetheless .

It seems like there's an element of luck involved in gaining TPR access.

For what its worth I prefer the atmosphere of the F lounge and quite enjoy sitting at the bar. Obviously TPR is more of a calm environment at peak times but the F lounge is my preference otherwise.

It's very surprising to me that SQ does not offer an arrival lounge for Suites passengers in their home airport. Seems to me they should do something.

If I arrive in SIN from CGK in FC what lounge(s) do I have access to if it is the end of my itinerary? I will be arriving in the evening and have a departure the next morning at 6AM on ANA in J on a separate itinerary. I don't plan on leaving the airport.

You only have access to Private Room if (1) you're flying out of SIN on F, or (2) you arrived into SIN on SQ flight on F and have a connecting flight on SQ (whether it be F, J or possibly even Y). Since you're continuing on a non-SQ flight, you'll not have access to Private Room.

If you're PPS Solitaire, you're entitled to use the Krisflyer First Class lounge on arrival, regardless of whether you're taking a SQ or non-SQ flight subsequently.

Otherwise, if you're PPS or have other Star Alliance status, you're entitled to use the Star Alliance lounge, but not the Krisflyer lounge itself.

Can you have access to the First Class lounge (not TPR) if you're arriving in suites and just want to freshen up for a while without a continuing flight?

It doesn't appear so based on the answer dickson_g gave. If someone has an answer to this question as "yes" could they also tell me if it would apply to non-suites FC as well?

Only PPS Solitaire has access to lounge on arrival. Arriving flight has to be SQ but does not matter regarding class of travel.

I know I've said this before but this is a serious flaw in SQ's service. Not to have any lounge available to suites passengers on arrival is hardly the kind of service SQ prides itself on, especially for early morning arrivals where hotel rooms will not be ready yet. Really disappointed. Why do they make such a big effort for departing passengers and just the opposite for arriving ones?

It is quite odd, because if memory serves me right they wouldn't need to create a separate arrivals lounge as arriving passengers in SIN enter the general terminal and could simply go to one of the existing SQ lounges. You could then go through customs and baggage claim at your leisure as if your bags are not immediately claimed they hold them for you.

This observation is reflective of the fact that SIA's philosophy have changed (for the worse) over the decades. It used to be that SIA offers "an inflight service even other airlines talk about" and is viewed as an industry leader. Today, it is not only a follower but consciously does the minimum to just stay at the top tier among airlines. No arrival lounge, caviar service limited only to certain flights, etc etc are some examples. I was reminded about this when I read onemileatatime blogpost today about CX opening their renovated First Class lounge in Jun'15, which features day beds. I've seen Suites pax in the Private Lounge actually laying on blankets paved over the floor in the small children's play area to catch a wink.

I hope SQ management reads these threads. This is an area where they need to improve. It's a shame they aren't living up to their reputation.
