IAH-DME Transfer Question
I am looking in to flying IAH-DME with a separate OW DME-VIE ticket. I have about a 4 hour layover in DME and don't plan to apply/get Russian visas. Will SQ give me a problem at IAH if I don't have a Russian visa or an onward *A flight? I plan to have my onward OW flight itinerary available to prove I don't need a Russian visa.

Last year I flew IAH-DME-VIE (IAH-DME on SQ, DME-VIE on OS) and didn't have any problems using just a US passport. The whole thing was on one ticket though (SQ KF award).

I have a US passport - so a visa is not required. It sounds like not many have flown the IAH-DME segment specifically without a visa with an onward non-Star Alliance flight. I would think they would be understanding on this issue but you never know what instructions they've been given.
