Earning KF Miles on UA-marketed, ANA-operated flights
Hi, this is my first post here although I have been lurking the forum for a while.
I usually fly with SQ but this spring, I need to make a trip to Tokyo from JFK. Looking at the *A partner, it seems I will fly with UA/ANA K class.
Now, here are a couple of questions:
1. When I look at this list http://www.singaporeair.com/pdf/ppsc...FOALLevels.pdf , K class doesn't give any krisflyer miles on ANA but 100% on United. Since JFK-NRT is a codeshare of UA-ANA but operated by ANA, would I still be able to earn any krisflyer miles if I book my ticket through UA website?
2. Assuming the above answer is yes, UA itself is only giving 50% Mileageplus. So does that mean I will only get 100% krisflyer miles of the 50% Mileageplus?
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to FT.
1. For *A, operating airline (NH) is what determines your eligibility, not the marketing airlines (UA). Since your ticket is booked in UA's K, you will have to contact NH for its fare class alignment.
2. It depends on the program. Simply no one knows until you asked NH.

I looked up on ANA's website and it seems to be K class but I will ask them to be sure.
If I am not earning any KF miles since K class is not in the pdf table for ANA, does anyone know it will automatically fall back to earning mileageplus?
