Question

Please correct me if I am wrong. Using the RTW C fare from the US on SQ only is $5299 + surcharges

If I was to fly JFK-FRA-SIN-HKG-SFO The fare is 5299 + $500 for EACH of the 3 long haul sectors on the 380/77W. (making the REAL fare $6799.00.). Is this correct? What about a surcharge between SIN-HKG??

1. You can't get from EWR to EWR. You can only start from one US coast and end the other.

2. SQ RTW excludes Australia.

Best for you to get a *A RTW for this routing.
Can't you still do a SQ only RTW using both EWR and JFK? I know that used to be allowed, although in FC it meant taking business class on the long EWR flight.

This is all in the middle of a reprice with SQ. About $7k for J RTW with no surcharges.

Apparently they are even looking at F and R RTW pricing as well.

You don't have to pay the surcharge unless you fly on the A380 and 77W aircrafts. There are a few flights a day using alternate equipment eg 333 and 772 aircrafts. And if you do not stop in FRA and just fly direct from NYC to SIN, you need only pay one surcharge.

Now that sounds pretty promising!

A competent TA or the SQ SFO City Office are the easiest.

SQ only mini RTW

I've been planning a OW RTW but a colleague of mine who always waxes lyrical about SQ told me there's a SQ-only RTW fare available that's considerably cheaper.

I cannot find anything on the SQ website and a quick Google didn't reveal much information elsewhere on the net or FT.

Does anybody know whether these fares are still available and roughly what prices we're talking?

I'm based in the UK and would want to travel in F.

But you obviously didn't do a search here on this forum. Just the word 'RTW' will bring up numerous threads on this subject.

To help you out, I've merged your post to the existing thread here...

To answer your question...
No F available anymore. Only C class - at GBP 2727 plus tax and surcharges.
The surcharges are travelling on 77W, A380 and A345 flights - which you cannot avoid since almost every flight you take is on one of those aircrafts.

Refer above posts (#5) for rules and surcharges..and to add, max 5 stops, 3 month validity, no city allowed to stopover more than once, no backtracking except within Europe.

SQ Metal RTW

Is backtracking allowed to get back to a SQ gateway to complete rtw.

Eg. Lax-nrt-sin-del//bom-sin-jfk

Would this be a valid routing?

No on both. Backtracking is only permitted in Europe.
To make it work you would have to purchase a separate SIN-DEL/BOM-SIN ticket.

Apologies if this question has been asked already elsewhere, but if you buy a Y SQ RTW, can you upgrade individual sectors (either with cash or miles?)

No to both. Cos the booking class is not eligible for upgrading with KF miles anyway.

Are any of these fares still available? KVS DotRes fare search only returns the RWSTAR fares.
