National at YWG

Anyone had any experiences here recently?
Any vehicles available with satellite radio?

Have a long drive ahead of me when leaving YWG, would like some XM or Sirius to keep me awake when driving along the prairie....

I rented here on the weekend for one day. There is no by-pass counter so had to go to agent at desk. They had my paper-work ready and agent gave me an option of about 5 different cars. I had booked a mid-size and I chose a Nissan Maxima. Brand new and a very sweet car and classified as a Premium Car. I was eventually charged with an Intermediate rental, which was the same as the mid-size I booked. I was very happy with the experience and the rate was VERY low (undr $25 per day).

Rented a mid-size and was offered a 2012 maxima with 5k on it.

Few other vehicles on the lot :

Lots of minivans
few maximas
few ultimas

Was offered a infinity g37 for 12$ more a day... had to decline for company reasons; but very fast positive first rental here. Lot is the first in the new parkade, staff where very friendly!

'Bout time hearna! Was wondering when you'd defect from Hertz to National, given all of your negative experiences with the former.

What is an ultima?

Cars on the lot : 0

Unfortunatly they had no cars available;

15 minute wait and my ICAR became a FGAR (Ford Edge Sport fully loaded)

Even when National lets me down ( a bit ), they do good!

I've had a couple of excellent rental experiences from this location in recent months (most recently this past weekend). In the first one I was offered a selection of cars, including a Sonata and a Jeep Cherokee. The second rental I was offered a Kia Optima, Sonata, or C300. The Cherokee was offered as an upgrade. I picked the C300. On the lot I saw a couple of Audis, a B250, and a bunch of Hyundai and Kia products.

Although the C300 proved to not be as exciting as I might have imagined, it was a pretty decent choice for the $20 all in daily charge I paid. Both times, the counter staff were friendly and treated me very well. Probably the best non-Aisle location I've been to.

Any more recent updates here? Have a premium booked but would really like an SUV of some sort as an upgrade.

Ive had an Edge, X3, and GLC the last few times I rented here within the last year. Booked as premium or midsize.
Everything is counter service here and theyre usually good at accommodating Exec/EE if they have availability

Just a quick note to comment on the great service at YWG last week. Booked as full-size I was initially offered an A4 but then swapped to an X3 when I mentioned having kids and lots of luggage with us.
