Caviar service resumes?

I heard from a cabin crew that effective May 1, Caviar service resumes in long-haul First class.

Anyone can confirm this?

Caviar from a fish farm may be less expensive than kerosene.

Jokes apart it is a good move from TG to respect again their premium passengers. Perhaps we can even hope for BKK limousine transfers, matresses and duvets.

The new TG board did announce improvements for premium cabins and that is great. Let's hope that it will not be the usual TG thing: lasts a few months and get suppressed by a new cost-cutting plan (already announced...).

How appropriate that caviar service should resume as of Mayday.

This might cause me to buy a standby upgrade from business on a flight to FRA later this month.

Has anyone experienced the caviar service? Any comments? Have there been any other improvements to meal and drink service in F or is it just caviar returning?

Can anyone tell me if they would serve caviar in F on the evening HKG-BKK flight?

Caviar is only for long haul flights in F, I had never had caviar for the HKG flights.

I'll be flying BKK-CDG-BKK next week in F and was wondering if caviar is back on this route too .
Any recent experience out there ?
Waht about the wines? Do they still serve that awful Givry in F class ?

Since they printed a brand new wine list for 2008 and purchased wines accordingly, I doubt that there will be any change in the (many) coming month. All their wines are now mediocre, below C wines served on SQ or CX. On exception is Dom. A colleague of mine did not have caviar late April.

I enjoyed their caviar on the daytime flight to FRA from BKK on May 28. Excellent service and I enjoyed two helpings of the stuff. Nice to see it back.

Caviar on medium haul

Caviar was served on TG665 PVG-BKK last night, was not on the menu though IIRC.

Since when is this flight on an '346 ? Pleasant surprise even if the price for the upgrade C->F was quite steep.

Will be interested to see if it returns regularly to PEK-BKK and BKK-NRT in addition to long-haul... And perhaps with the re-introduction they might serve it with a caviar spoon? @:-)
