UA (or WN) can't match this given the lack of two class cabin planes on the route.

That's an introductory fare. Don't expect that for very long.

Something interesting when you go to select seats on VX: Exit rows amd bulkheads cost an extra $25. Says there's 13 extra inches with the bulkhead seats. Yikes!

Wow, that's cheap compared to DJ in Australia...I believe the charge there is AU $50.

LOL. no.

there is one huge advantage over TED (or WN):

"You can plug in to 110v power at every seat."

does anyone know if VX will interline with Virgin Atlantic?

I'd kill for VX on the LAX-LAS routes. It's the one TEDroute I have to fly and I'd be thrilled if I could boycott TED entirely.

Service from SFO-LAS begins on 10/10 (Taiwan National Day! kuaile!). At that point, you'll likely be allowed to purchase LAX-LAS via SFO on a single (not sure of the price) ticket. Too bad segment runs dont mean anything in eleVAte

Maybe, just saw an article/interview in the Asian WSJ last week (8/1 - 8/4), where the CEO of VS mentioned an interline agreement with VS. Sorry, I cannot remember the exact date of the article.

If these are one-way fares, UA could theoretically match them if they desired, seeing how they currently are selling SAN-SFO r/t QUPs in the 360-400 range, and PDX-OAK has been in the same range for a long time. If they had an F cabin.

If these are r/t fares, this will likely STRENGTHEN UA's love for Ted, as they can't really hope to offer QUPs at this price (TUPs maybe?). And quite frankly, they shouldn't even be chasing after that traffic.

Couldn't agree more. Anything that's bad for TED is fine by me. I just wish I had some LAS travel coming up.
