End of summer? I'm still waiting for it to begin. Wouldn't miss it for the world - sign me up please.

Love the idea of the Sarf London venue ^

Well the weather was decidedly driech up your way this weekend so you could be forgiven for wondering.

I have never done the Eye before and it sounds like a bit of fun. Plus I am now officially not buying anymore tickets until next year. So a DO in the town in which I hang my hat is a goer for me.

I'm also signing myself up also for the reason that I have never been on the London Eye. Sounds like a great idea of a lazy September afternoon/evening.

Well, I have no plans to be in India for September so count me in for drinks. I might pass on the Eye though, no lounge.

Jen, do you think I'm going to be around, or am I going to be away? Or have you checked already?

Saturday 8th September

I will still be in San Francisco on Saturday 8th September; I can heartily recommend the Eye, however I believe sunset would be the best time to see London, as it can be like sitting in a greenhouse during the day.

Sun sets about 19:40 that day, so a 7.30pm flight would suit perfectly!

You could then try out Skylon Restaurant, though be warned it is a Conran and overpriced....I think I read Swanhunter was there this weekend, so maybe he knows what it's like.

Alternatively, there is Giraffe nearby for fun, cheap eats and quite a jolly bar, which I believe has a happy hour!

Not again?!

I thought since I'd got Swannie, I must be doing something right this time....

He was, and krug is quite right, it is way overpriced. GBP10 for a very average cocktail so we decided to slope off elsewhere for dinner.

For anyone not fancying the Eye, but who fancies a slap up meal I could be tempted by an early supper at the Anchor & Hope. Get there at 5:30 for a decent beer and some of the best food in London....

Oh bugger!!!

I was thinking that I'd love to attend ^, and then I realised that I'll be in Bratislava that day, watching Ireland V Bratislava in the footie .... ^ and

But I will prob have to be in London the night before Slovakia, so any chance of a Pre-Do "DO" on 7th ??? (my usual form I'm afraid .... )

It would be a great way to celebrate my new Gold membership year (courtesy of a soon-to-be jaunt to BAH )

If not, enjoy !!!

No worries! I shall be enjoying the luxury of U/D Club World on the way back from LAX. In fact I'm in LAX right now, in the AA Flagship lounge, just about to hop on a plane to HNL (1/4 of the way through a YUP run!! ).

It'll just act as a spur to get my booty in order and organise a mid-week Do at some point.

Would have loved to have joined you but we're doing the final part of our ex-EUR that weekend - Milan for the Grand Prix but I'll have a lemoncello to toast you all back in London
