This is NO joke - Four Points Pie

This is for real, folks... my question is, do they have it in Kool-Aid or Parker Punch flavors???

A Message from Dining & Cabin

US Airways and Four Points by Sheraton have teamed up to bring our First Class customers..."Pie in the Sky."

Four Points, a Dividend Miles Partner and part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide (and recently voted "Best Hotel Loyalty Program") currently
offers delicious signature pies. For a limited time, we will offer their pie as a dessert for our First Class customers. Not only will this be an improved product for our customers, but this partnership defrays the cost of dessert in
First Class, a significant savings to US Airways.

"Pie in the Sky" Promotion Details

Starting May 1, for approximately a one year period, the pie will replace the
cheesecake in First Class on all non-transatlantic meal flights except on flights to/from Canada, Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, ORD, CMH and IND.

SERVING FOUR POINTS PIE
* When serving the pie and napkin, feel free to say, "May I offer you a
slice of Four Points pie today?"

PROVISIONING
* Pie flavor will rotate every three months - First rotation will be
Pecan pie
* Pie will be pre-plated from the kitchens and is to be served cool
* No change to the boarding amounts and locations

FOUR POINT NAPKIN
Coming soon approximately May 15, a special Four Points by Sheraton
promotional napkin will be boarded with the bulk forks in the Meal Service Kit at the same count (per passenger).
* Promotional napkins should only be boarded with the pie, not the
cheesecake.
* Promotional napkins should only be provisioned during dessert when pie
is served, as this message relates only to this promotion.
* There is no change to the US Airways cocktail napkin that is currently "PIE IN THE SKY" DAY
We want you to experience Four Points Pie! Representatives from Four Points by
Sheraton and Consumer Marketing will be in PHL, CLT and PHX crewrooms
providing samples of pie and explaining more details on the promotion. Hope to
see you there!

* PHL - Monday, April 23rd 900-1500
* CLT - Tuesday, April 24th 0900-1600
* PHX - Friday, April 27th 0700-1500

Pie will also be served in BOS, DCA, LGA and PIT crewrooms on Friday, April
27th. "

Is this a bad thing?

I'm all for new in-flight stuff, be it entertainment, food, drink, etc. The cheesecake was okay, but nothing spectacular. I'm all for giving pecan pie a chance...

Let 'em eat pie

For those with 100% upgrade rates, forget the cheesecake for at least a year. No cheesecake. Pie.

I got scared for a second, that you had to leave the aiport after arriving from your flight, go to a Four Points hotel. In the lobby you had to present your BP chit to eat pie in the lobby. I am serious- this freaked me out BIG TIME!

Subsidised pie? What's next, advertising on the toilet paper so they get that for free too?

Actually, I'm all for US making money where they can, but can't they spend their time fixing the problems they have rather than dreaming up new schemes to save money and torture FAs?

What did ORD, CMH and IND do to get left out of the pie flights?

Why did you think you received this message? In other words, what list do I need to be on to receive similar?

No pie for you!

Maybe US has an extra-special sponsored desert option for customers to/from those cities.

Yes, they're offering dessert in the desert - you pay to fly to PHX or LAS, and they'll serve you the pie (while hitting you up for a timeshare or other nonsense).

Perhaps there are no FourPoints in those cities? I would find that hard to believe - at least in ORD. Maybe a different caterer? They're in a somewhat related geographical area...

Give Pie a Chance... ^

Just a reminder if you have issues with what someone posted take it up with a moderator. Don't post about it in the thread. Thanks.

I'm actually ok with this. The cheesecake was nothing to write home about.

Do we get a bigger piece of pie if we have SPG status?
