Free Phone Number for Voice Mail

1. Signing up is easy and FREE!
2. Get voicemail alerts in email
or on your cell phone.
3. Check your voicemail over the
phone or online.
4. No contract, credit cards, or
extra equipment required.
5. Select an area code
from most cities.

Doesn't appear to have "any" gotchas

Thanks.

On a related note - is there a service which can provide you with a phone number, and calls to that phone number are converted to emails - and I don't mean the message is a wav (or other audio) file attachment in the email, but basically a transcription of the message left?

I read that Pinger will begin charging at the beginning of 2007, though you still get 10 or 20 calls for free.

Will they give themselves the right to spam you by SMS and e-mail?
