Cockroach in IAD's IFL Yesterday

I was there around 6 pm to 9 pm and had the pleasure of seeing a cockroach face to face. That little thing was hiding in the cheese which was most unfortunate since I was on Atkin's diet and could only eat the cheese, not the cookies or wrap sandwiches.

I thought roaches were low carb, high protien, and thus Atkins friendly food.

^^^

But seriously, I once saw a roach crawl out of the drain in the JFK IFL men's room. It's really not UA's fault...

(OT, but unlike most, I won't kill a roach upon seeing it. Poor thing didn't mean to bother me ).

Wow, I have been reading FlyerTalk too long. I thought it was going to be about someone got in that should not have been there. But I guess that would be lounge lice

A word of caution, if you are in fact planning on incorporating a juicy cockroach into your Atkins diet. Be aware that if you are allergic to shellfish (shrimp/prawns etc.) you will also be allergic to cockroaches. I saw an episode of Fear Factor where a girl had to get emergency treatment b/c she became allergic to the cockroaches used in a particular stunt. Me, I like em fried...

Yup. Once found a roach in my NYC apartment. I got him to go into a tupperware, and I took him outside! ^

US flyers* are Star Alliance people too, so they can enter the IFLs. Maybe the Chairman's Club cheese selection was not as extensive?

* - I believe it was a former Chairman of US that once referred to the low-fare passengers as "cockroaches", and is now considered a badge of honor by many of them.

13 posts. I really expected a remark like this to appear in the first couple posts. Well I can stop looking now.
