Talking SQ To Spread Wings To Moscow

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew - the founding father of Modern Singapore - has announced that SIA will fly to Moscow by mid-2006.

When contacted, SIA was unsure whether it would be a non stop flight or via DXB or BKK.

I believe that TG is now starting up service 3X or 4X weekly non-stop from BKK as well.

I read that TG announced the flight as a A346 and sold lots of F/C-tickets but they will fly old MD11's. If its true SQ will might be able to grab a good share of the market with their 777's.

I wonder if lots of TG pax will claim refunds. I mean, that falls into the category of deceptive marketing...

Aeroflot used to fly to SIN, but stopped quite a while ago IIRC.

Be interesting to see what they do. This looks like MM Lee's way of getting them to open this up!
