From AA.com:
In other words, these tickets won't earn miles.
Mike
Tickets between North America and Europe, India, Asia and Latin America booked in O and Transatlantic tickets booked in Q are not eligible for mileage credit.

Guatemala may not be in Latin America
...so far as AAdvantage is concerned. Investigating similar fares from PIT I phoned AAdvantage to clarify this. Received two answers. 1) after putting me on hold for a long time, replied that "O" fares to Latin America do not earn miles. 2) Not liking this answer, I phoned again and talked to a very knowledgeable agent who explained that "0" fares earn mileage anywhere where stickers work (the "domestic" AA world, which includes Central America and the Caribbean), and do not earn mileage anywhere else. He volunteered that the "O" fare would not earn a bonus under the LAT5K promotion (something I did not ask, and already knew, but it increased his credibility with me).
I followed up the second call with an email to AAdvantage Customer Service, and have their affirmative reply in writing: AA "0" fares to Guatemala do earn 100% EQM. After I actually fly this in two weeks, I will let you know if my personal experience is anything different from AA's assurance.

Guatemela is definitely in Latin America.
One gets Admiral's Club access if one is OW Sapphire/Emerald when flying AA to GUA.

Here is my correspondence from 14 September with AAdvantage Customer Service about this:
Dear [ohioflyer],
Thank you for your recent e-mail. I'm delighted to help.
If the flight is on AA and bought from AA then booking code O would earn
miles. If travel in on another airline then we would need more
information as booking codes on partner airlines differ about the miles
earned.
Thank you for participating in the AAdvantage program. We appreciate
your business.

Dear AA:
I am confused about the "O" fares being sold on aa.com Do flights
booked in "O" to Central America (specifically to SJO and GUA) earn
qualifying miles?
Thank you for sending a clarification about this.

Personally, given the caveats on the AA website, I wouldn't touch these fares with a 10-foot pole if I wanted the mileage, no matter what AAdvantage Customer Service tells me.
I agree with Spiff. As far as I'm concerned, Guatemala is in Latin America - not only by AA's rule, but as a matter of fact.

Anyone know if you can receive mileage through other airline programs on "O" tickets...BA Executive Club for example?
You can't on Mexicana.... from their website "It applies only to AA code flights operated by American Eagle or American Connection.
Tickets between North America and Europe, Asia and Latin America booked in "O" and "Q" are not eligible for mileage credit. "

Doesn't say anything about excluding O (or anything else), but I'm definitely not an expert on AS/AA.
