No Satay

What's happened to the Satay?

In the last week I have had 8 SQ flights (mostly in business) and not once was satay offered or even available.

Come to think of it, you are right, Kiwi Flyer. In March I did not recall any satays (except at SKL Changi) on board all my SQ flights in C and F.

As sad as it sounds, the satay sticks are (for me) one of the highlights of SQ. I'd hate to see them go.

Now you got me thinking hard.
Well just checked with friends and family, "satays" are still served on board. Last month in C: SQ17 YVR-ICN; SQ17 ICN-SIN; SQ286 AKL-SIN (as well as F).

The Satay brought back a nice memory of our first SQ from SIN/DPS a lo-ong time ago. I think this flight was less than 45 minutes and we had this unbelievable Satay in FC. It was wonderful and the service was incredible on this very short hop.

SIN/DPS is close to 2 hours if not more, maybe you were enjoying yourself so much that you forgot the time .

Now that you mention it I have to say that I can't remember being offered or served satay on CAI-DXB-SIN-DXB-CAI in F in Dec '04/Jan '05 either. Though I got it on SIN-FRA-SIN in J several times in '04 Selective offerings these days? Go figure.

Now you mention it I also can't remember if we got on SQ317 a few weeks ago . It would be a blow if they ever did stop it as it's a great touch, although the fact Savage25 had it a few days ago means it must still be around.

Amusing to see how many on this thread can't remember if it was served or not. Time to cut back on the lounge consumption folks .
