I looked at the link, and that is the badge I'm talking about. I'm still at a loss regarding what the JJC stands for and what it was. EWR

Junior Jet Club was for youngsters flying BOAC. They kept a log book and pilots filled it in at the end of each flight. After certain thresholds for example 25k, 50k, 75k were passed they were given certificates by the airline.

It was indeed Junior Jet Club and I was a member myself in the late 1970s (yes, it existed post-BOAC). You were given a log book which you could present to a stewardess on your flight, who would take it to the flight deck where the captain would fill it in with the details of the flight, the aircraft registration and so on. I'm sorry to say I think I've lost my log book but someone here might be able to scan one?

It's a (suspicious) co-incidence that I'm at home for the first time in 6 months and can help you out here.

Front Cover of JJC Logbook
JJC welcome letter from JJC President
Inside back cover of JJC logbook, note cool drawings of the then BA longhaul fleet
Now you know about my views on children in J....LHR-JNB when 9 months old...
The tokens sent off when you reached a mileage point. By the time of Skyflyers, they piggy-backed on the BAEC system and certs came out automatically!
Skyflyers records...note personal note from SF/O...jumpseated into BAH on this flight
Finally...the certs themselves.

As I recall, the BOAC/early BA days were the Junior Jet Club, which then switched to "Flightriders" in the mid-80s (my bro has a Flightrider book) and then to "Skyflyers". I think you can still get the logbooks in Duty Free.

Yup. £1.00 a piece and the flight crew are always happy to fill them in for you.

Whats so wonderful about a Trident Three - the fact it flew (there wasn't water in the engine)?

I think like most Shuttle/European flyers I was delighted when the 757s arrived

Although I've still got my JJC log book, I've lost all my certificates somewhere down the years. I kept on filling in the log book on my own, though, until it was full and I graduated to an adult's passenger log book.

That's fantastic stuff BahrainLad ^ ^

I see you've got GF 003 as one of your flights in there. So did this count towards your BA JJC mileage too...
