LGW Galleries Fizz
Bolney English Sparkling and Castelnau both on free pour today alongside the still wines in the lounge. Is this a new policy or just a one-off?

No, it's not exactly new, see the main LGW lounge thread for more examples of this. The Bolney being available there is (I think) a first report however.

To clarify it was the Club Lounge.
The Bolney was better, although it isn't the best example of English Sparkling in my opinion. Nyetimber and Exton Park would be two I would prefer.
In all my trips to Gatwick I had not seen Fizz on free-pour, but it appears it isn't that unusual after all!
Certainly anything would be better than the nasty Prosecco on offer in the PSA lounge where I am currently sitting, but given the time of day I'm enjoying a nice coffee instead!

Might have to try a tiny sip of Bolney to compare to Nyetimber even though it will be early morning when I fly next week.

I think Castelnau is reasonable, not amazing but very drinkable.
Interesting if it’s on free pour though, certainly in EDI and LHR GC South T5, you always get 2 glasses when you ask for 1. Which is great!

I also appreciate the LGW Club Lounge. I spend a lot of time in it due to the opening hours of the Flounge not fitting in with half the flights I get from LGW.
Also, if LGW had a CX lounge I might use it, but alas ...

Admittedly I hardly ever fly from LGW these days, and never for work, but we had occasion to use it in the summer and I thought it was pretty nice. Light and airy, food was ok-ish and I guess also I had extremely low expectations for a lounge at Gatwick so maybe I am just easily satisfied....

I was in the LGW Club lounge in July and Sept (the July one required some FT-assisted blagging as it was on a CX J ticket and apparently they don't contract for it despite being OW).
The Castelnau was on request in July, and on free-pour in Sept. Change in policy?
