First time First lounge, snoring etiquette
First time as gold into T5 first lounge, great place to be watching planes take off... A380 are a wonderful sight to see getting off the ground
except the man snoring in the corner!

As a general rule if someone is bothering me in a public place (e.g. snoring) I'll either don headphones or move somewhere else.

T5 FL is a wonderful lounge.
The lounge is large enough to find alternative locations

I have no issues telling people to shut up if they are screaming into cellphones in the lounge, but I would not wake up a snoring person. It may disturb some people, but quite frankly they may not be able to help it - very few people snore by choice.

Tolerance.
People don't snoring because they like.

It'll only get more annoying once you're on board...

The op was showing tolerance.
The snoring was bothering them, and they came here to talk about it rather than there.

I wandered into the cinema area of GC yesterday and 2-3 people stretched out on the sofas in states of sleep. One woman was snoring.
Even in the CCR there were a couple.
Had one a while ago in a lounge at possibly PHX. Really loud and the staff just ignored him.

Agreed I normally wear pretty good earplugs that block out most of the noise. However on our last overnight trip, my other half, who finds earplugs very uncomfortable, basically couldn't sleep all night because of someone snoring in the cabin.

Just move elsewhere! If you want to totally avoid snoring you would be better in the economy cabin where people are not lying flat out on their backs (and have had less food and booze that only increase the chance of this).

Interesting point. I'll wait for that to be listed as a Y benefit.

I don't think one should be expected to move. An airline lounge is somewhere to lounge, not sleep.

I hate to see people sleeping at airports as I become afraid they might miss their flight.
