[For the benefit of those who can't see the picture, BA Social Media are suggesting that 10,000 TPs a year are required for GGL membership]

Last year was somewhat exceptional for me, which meant I hit 5000 for the first (and probably last) time...
Looking forward, the year to 08-Mar-18 should see me organically within spitting distance of 3000 TPs, so I would probably spend a bit of my own money to retain GGL.
Of course, if they move up the GGL retention threshold (to 5K a year ?) then all bets are off
