tough itinerary- no go from internet

Trying to nail a tough one:

LAX to Milan (has to be Malpensa since we are going to Como) Looking for one stop, could be AF, LH, BA, Swiss, UA via LHR.

Milan (again Malpensa) to Istanbul (only NS is Turkish Air)

Istanbul to Paris (again only NS is Turkish Air, I think)
Paris NS to Lax

I can get separate legs of this trip through the internet, but not the complete package as described above.

Any ideas? Use a travel agent?

Most any online booking engine should be able to do this as a multi city route.

Why can't you get it as a complete package, what's it telling you?

It seem most of the booking engines do not pull up Turkish Air ( and give me 6 hour one stop IST-MXP and IST- CDG flights) AND give me 20 hour layovers in Istanbul

see if one of the carriers involved can book it for you....probably cheaper than a ta if it works....

ps....i assume you have identified the flights you want...

I just did it fairly easily through Expedia. I had to choose "Select flights separately" or something along those lines on the results page, but nothing more complicated than that. I got a price for LH to MXP, TK to IST, TK to CDG and AF to LAX.

Another question is "why?". Why do they need to be all booked at once? I don't recommend booking LH LAX-FRA and FRA-MXP separately, but I don't see any reason to book all of those on a single ticket if it's causing you so much pain.

I tried "single tickets" and the price was even worse; AF ns CDG-LAX was $3800 OW when same flt RT is $1500???

any other ideas? trave agent?

I didn't use your exact dates because I was in a hurry, but I broke it into two open jaw tickets:

1) LAX-JFK-MXP (DL) and CDG-LAX (AF) = $2191.60
2) MXP-IST-CDG (TK) = $373.11

I used random dates in July/August so you might do better with your dates in November.
