Post Photo Trip Reports: Colorlessly Stuck in a *A RTW Time Trap-1st Time on BA ClubWorld

It is never easy to understand human emotions. One can experience emotion high and low in splits of seconds, while one can also go through a period time emotionlessly….

Traveling can bring excitements but also boredom…it all depends on why and how one travels.

I feel excited when I am going to see someone and feel the presence of people who I care about or the anticipation of meeting someone that is special. I also feel excited when the destinations provide the histories or mystiques that I read about in books papers and dream about visiting. Traveling on new airlines or experiencing new services offerings also provides the needs of the Flyertalker in me.

…but I can be emotionless when I have to travel again and again on the same routes, on the same airlines, visiting the same old places for work… and there isn’t anyone special at the destination to triggering my soul.

I have been away from this forum to take a break so I can explore and re-ignite the emotion in me and to feel excited about taking photos on trips again. I have done several trips already this year: Amsterdam, Sydney, Singapore, NY, DC, NY, Shanghai, NY, S. Florida….. Thousands of photos have been taken, but still little inspiration to go through the photos to do another trip report.

Well! I have to start somewhere. I guess this is as a good time as any, otherwise it will be hard to get motivated to go through thousands of photos when work starts piling up again, if not already. Also, someone has been encouraging to get out of my current trip report slump!

Following the same theme as the Colorlessly stuck in a Time Trap - Another UA F/C Transpac Trip! and Colorlessly Stuck in A Time Trap - Another LH Asia-EU C Trip! trip reports I did in the past two years, here is the photo trip report I hope to get rid of my emotionless state of mind and restart my passion for posting photo trip reports in the second half of 2012:

Any trip report that uses the title "time trap" and a B&W photo of a crock pot has to be good! Looking forward to the rest!

Thanks for your comment and continuing to support my TRs. Hope the compositions will overshadow the emotionless feeling of taking this trip.

Thanks. I have never thought of a crock pot would ever appear in my TR...strange things do happen.

Thanks so much. No one matches your night photos. Hope to learn from your multi-exposure technics.

The flight over Manhattan at night was on SFO-JFK. Clear Sky above a perfect night to shoot from above. BW does not do justice to the shot. Hopefully the color shot will find a way make into this forum.

PEK-SFO 1 of 2

Flight departed in heavy rain and was delayed by over an hour. United ran out of the printed menu and handed out a one-page photocopy of the food choices. Not that the menu would make the below average United Business food taste any better, but it felt United's such a cheap airlines when a passengers are paying over $10K for a RTW ticket and get such a lousy presentation. Oh... the cheap plastic pre-departure drink cup did not help to change the perception either....

Completely fantastic again UA_Flyer!

What camera do you have now? I know that you had a bit of a disaster a little while ago. Have you managed to acquire a DSLR again?
