Any Experience w/Dell XPS13 Laptop?

I'm considering getting said machine at work as my primary laptop. I work in a corporate environment that is strongly wedded to Windows and is a Dell shop, so things like a Macbook Air or Asus Zenbook UX21/31 aren't really choices.

I'm on the road ~40% of the time and have decided that size and weight matter over my current Inspiron 14" laptop. Battery life seems sufficient for my needs at 5-6 hours as does storage and memory. About the biggest drawbacks are screen real-estate (when traveling) and the lack of ports/docks when in the office.

I'm curious if anyone has real-life experiences beyond the on-line reviews I've found.

I was hoping someone did. I was looking at the options out there and this was one of the contenders. Its one of the nicest looking units but is getting panned a little in the reviews because of hinge and the way the unit opens.

I had it narrowed down to about 3-4, this being one of them along with the Samsung Series 9 and the Lenovo. The U300S is probably the nicest unit and gets top marks for keyboard and specs but at 15mm thick uniformly its the thickest of the group (many of the ultrabooks are 3mm thinnest to 9mm at its thickest).

I have a XPS M1330 that I had for a couple of years. It is a very good machine and has done well with travel to many places. I have had no problems with the computer. It is a lot lighter than most of the company machines I had to tote around the world. It is my primary machine as I do a lot of power points, and word documents daily. I hope this helps.

Thanks, but the model we are talking about is the new Ultrabook.
