Given the upcoming merger, any chance I can get mileage on TAM booked to my LANPass account...?

See if you can book it as a LAN codeshare - they have been codesharing certain routes for a couple years already.

Yes, you can get kms. for any TAM
flight except Europe and North American routes

Let me rephrase... Yes, you're right, JJ flights don't count towards status (yet). Only flights on LAN and American do.

Status kms are kms for flights in LAN or any OW airline (not just AA , and not really BIS-kms as there are some flights/fares that only give you 25%) and also
bonus kms for Business class or Full Flexible fares.

No status-kms for flights on JJ or AS.

OK thanks..... still, miles even if no status miles is better than no miles or booking this to my LH account where I know they will just collect dust and eventually expire....
