Post Photo Trip Report: Rainy Night at Union Square! Experience UA & CO Premium Products!

I know that I can't keep ignoring US as a destination in my photo trip reports. I have found it difficult to focus on taking photos in my frequent business travels to US cities. There are many reasons. One of them is familiarit. I am an American and so as most of the readers in this forum. There is nothing too exciting to see or read about if one knows the place well.

Unfortunately, most of my business travels this year are to/from US. I will run out of materials if I keep ignore doing a US centric photo trip report.

I have decided to experiment on the subject matter to see if I could find a different angle to include US in a photo trip report, and this photo trip report is the first of my experiment on selecting a subject matter to focus on.

In addition, I have been ignoring the "flying" part of the trips in my most recent photo trip report. The one trip report (The German Odyssey!), which I am close to conclude soon, has only shown one post of flying related photos so far out of 100 posts. In order to achieve a better balance (and this is Flyertalk after all), I will have more photos on the flying part of the trip than the location part of the trip.

As the title of this thread says, this report will be on Union Square of San Francisco, and I will also include photos from my travels in UA international First and Business, Continental international BusinessFirst, and UA's Premium Services first class between JFK and SFO.

......Stay Tuned!

Ahhhhh... the photo showing the blurry moving cable car at night is wonderfully "noir" and evocative......the visual contrast of the circle-looking streeetlights and the rectangular cable car makes it look like a speeding vehicle.....makes me want to pick up a Raymond Chandler detective novel tonight!

I am glad the photo led you into a different state of mind. I hope the rest of the Union Square photos could follow the same theme.

Sorry there is a slight delay of posting photos in the thread. The internet connection at this Toronto hotel I am saying is little off.

This report will be built on same idea as the report I did last year:

Time Square Loses its Colors...Not Just Another UA Trip Report!

In addition to a lot of UA and CO photos, and Union Squares, photos of San Francisco, Westin St. Francis, and the a few shots from a dinner cruise.

SFO-PEK UA C
PEK-EWR CO BusinssFirst
JFK-SFO UA PS F
SFO-PEK UA F

Thanks for your patience.

Nice to see another report from you. Can I ask why, without sounding snarky this is just for curiosity's sake, you favor taking your pictures at angles?

A few reasons, but mainly to:

Get the ligting right and get the shadows out, and
Create a different perspective in view.

Thanks for your nice comment.

Photos in this trip report were shot mostly at the end of May and early June, but I did fly SFO-PEK three time in this time period. The F food will be shown later in this thread. The other SFO-PEK food offering in C are included below.

Although it was the same menu as shown as the one in the post above, the salad below did have pecans as advetised in the menu while the salad above did not.
