Post Photo Trip Report:The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg:EU-Asia on LH F & 1st time on Lux Air

I had a long two-week break from my five-stop in five-week business travel during the end of May and the month of June.

Those five stops were: Colorless Trip to DC, Sleepless in Taipei, Walking Tour of Dublin, Shanghai with Modern-Ups, and Mainz: Up and Down the Rhine River(no trip report on Mainz yet).

Now that I am back on the road again for the remainder of month of July, let me start my first July Trip Report from beautiful Luxembourg - only remaining sovereign Grand Duchy in the world...and LH F from Asia back to EU.

Stay Tuned!

My other photo trip reports can be accessed by click on the titles below:

Shanghai – An Old City with Modern Make-Ups; LH C from EU to Asia!
Guinness, Trinity, Walking around Dublin- Another LH C Trip Report!
Sleepless in Taipei - Cattle Class over Taiwan Strait on CA/CX!
Colorlessly Stuck in a Time Trap Trip - Another UA F/C Transpac Trip!
Plaza Mayor/Heldenplatz, MAD/VIE, LH & 1st time on Austrian/Adria Airways!
Time Square Loses its Colors...Not Just Another UA Trip Report!
Godiva, Neuhaus, LH/KA C, CX Wing & SAS Lounge
iPhone Photo Report:PEK-FRA-ZRH-MUC-PEK on LH/LX Business Class
Round-the World on UA (new F Suite), SQ A380/77W (Business), LH 744 (Business) and BD A320 (Business)

Almost a Colorless Report

I must first admit that this photo trip was so close to become a Black & White Colorless Photo Trip Report as the Colorlessly Stuck in a Time Trap Trip - Another UA F/C Transpac Trip! I did back in May.

Why? This LH flight was my fourth consecutive month of EU-Asia-EU trip in LH Business Class ( including one just two weeks prior to this particular flight). I tried to upgrade to LH F using United Star Alliance Upgrade Award two days prior to the flight departure date, but was told F cabin was full. I tried again less than 24 hours before the flight and it cleared! Because of the F upgrade, the trip was not so routine anymore, and also I didn't want to allow my mental tireness of flying another LH flight to overshadow what I might see in Luxembourg. This trip report is about Luxembourg not about Lufthansa flights.

So instead of seeing the B&W photos (below) of the airport and on board of LH flights, color photos will be posted starting in the next post.

Shower @ FRA Senator's Lounge

To order to use this below average airport lounge shower facility, I had to leave Germany (due to the layout of the FRA B gate area) and reenter Germany to catch my connecting flight leaving at gate B11.

Definitely not the airport shower facilities I am used to at UA, SQ, NH, CX, etc.

Those are truly amazing photos - some of the best as far as clarity and color!

Dinner had several appertizer choices, and I declined to sample all the choices.

Thanks for you comments about the photos.

LH deserves a lot of credits for:

1. Installing warmer lights in the upper deck first class section (verus cold lights in the Business Class) that brings out the colors better.

2. LH Cateing did a good job in food presentation in the first class cabin.
