Photo Trip Report: Plaza Mayor/Heldenplatz, MAD/VIE, LH & 1st time on Adria Airways!!

Update

I have updated this trip report to include my short half day visit to Toledo, Spain.
Photos are being loaded and will appear starting from Post #53 of this thread.

Iceland’s volcanic ash cloud almost torpedoed my work trip this week (last week of April) to Europe. The meeting early in the week in Madrid went ahead as scheduled but the second meeting in Vienna was cancelled last week during the height of European travel meltdown.

A warning: Expect to see over 220+ photos posted in this thread when it is done. After all, this is a photo trip report and I am not very good with words.

I could not change my routing to bypass Vienna because I bought Z fare. Therefore, I am stopping in Vienna for a day after Madrid before heading back to Beijing.

The routings are (all in Business Cabins):

PEK-FRA-MAD-FRA on LH
FRA-VIE on PS -Adria Aiways
VIE- PEK on OS - Austrian Airlines

I am particular looking to the Austrian Airlines flight. I have heard so much about its in-flight meal services and the coffee menu.

I am in the middle of this trip, and will post photos as soon as I find time to download them during the trip. As usual, I plan to take photos during the flights (backbone of any trip reports on FT), Occidental Miguel Angel Hotel ( Madrid) and Renaissance Hotel (Vienna) and also take photos during the walking tours of Madrid and Vienna. Expecting to see photos of Madird and Vienna in both B&W and color in this thread.

Comments are welcome as usual.

Awesome!

Love your style of photography. The food shots are tempting and nicely composed, and your street shots have a voyeuristic feel with a twist of humor.

This is my favorite type of travel report and you do it very well. You certainly have an eye for travel photography. I look forward to your future pictorial reports.
