*A RTW in J - SQ 380/77W, LH 747, UA New F Suites
Earlier this month, I had to go to Brussels and Washington DC from Beijing within 7 days. My choices were:
PEK-FRA-BRU-FRA-PEK on LH & PEK-SFO-IAD-SFO-PEK on UA
and
*A RTW using a combination of *A carriers.
I chose *A RTW to try SQ A380/77W's new C seats and LH transatlantic flight in C.
As result, I missed out on the additional fare based EQM if I had flown UA on the transpac return flights. Those extra EQMs would have helped me reaching 250K EQM for the year to earn 2 SWU.
It is too late to do a MR during my vacation at the moment and also my VISA Choice points is not enough to make up for the difference.
Regardless, I thought It was well worth it to try to both SQ's A380 and 77W and experienced, IMHO, the best business class seats in the sky. In addition, it has been ten years since I flew LH transatlantic, and I had not experienced the current generation of the LH C seats.
Here are the photos from my RTW flights:
PEK BSG Lounge ( SQ Contracted Lounge)
SQ 772 PEK-SIN
SQ T3 Lounge
SQ 380 SIN-LHR
BMI A320 LHR-BRU
More photos (including BD, LH, US, UA and 77W) will be posted shortly

Happy New Year!
Hope to see many more FTers in 2009.

You're very lucky. RTW on SQ requires D class availability to ride in business. The last two times I tried that (even months in advance) on the A380, D was not available and my waitlist did not clear. I'm going to try again in a few months!

This seems a better fit for the Trip Reports Forum; I'll move it there.
