CDG-LAX in Air France First class ( pics )

Hello all

I flew to LAX from LHR with AF with a friend

I was there for christmas

Flight from LHR was on time, we headed to the Terminal E, we have been welcomed by the ground staff but nothing special, she checked our BPs, then we passed the security, she did not even say a word while walking to the lounge, we were 2 passengers in FC, while the coach class line was full...

the lounge is very close, it took us 1 min. As soon as we reached the lounge, our passports and Bording Pass were collected... for inspection..

As you will see from the pics, it was a good lounge, but for business class, you expect more for FC lounge, like NZ in LAX, no wireless connection (free)

it was 9;45, an agent came and drove us to the plane with a mercedes benz..

The FA is charge of FC cabin was not stunning, there is no word to explain how he did the job, i'm speechless, I wrote a letter to the chief purser... to congratulate him, I wish Af have all the FA like him

the seat : 1A as usual, I slept 3 hours straight

IFE : worked,

time to see what you eat for lunch, I have to say this meal and the dinner were the best meal I have ever taste on AF :

Appetizer : shrimp with mascarpone cheese and chervil, brochette of smoked salmon and marinated cucumber, white radish with vegetables

Hors d'oeuvre : lobster salad

fresh seasonal salad

Main course : casserole of eggplant, zucchini and tomato, celery topped with tapenade, with filet of beef with lemon grass jus

Dinner :

Hors d'oeuvre : sweet potato and pickled ginger rolled in nori with crisp vegetables

main course : I took both meal, it was a good treat...

1 : veal, jus flavored with ajowan caraway, carrots with anchovy flan

2 : pan-seared prawns served with marinated mango and cilantro flan

Don't tell me I'm greedy, I know it !!

Verdict : paying 12000 euros round trip ( P fare ), for this kind of trip is worthwhile if you have the money for it.. but be relieved i used an award ticket....

Check In: 10 (Friendly and free)
Lounge: 6 ( I expect more from AF)
Boarding: 10( by car)
Seat: 9.5 (a bit wider could be nice)
Crew: 10 (cant expect more)
Meal: 10 (my tongue enjoyed.)
Entertainment: 7 (working for once)

MORE TR to come

Hope you have enjoyed...

So long

well its worthwhile to try them once, but to me, I'd rather fly on the 772 than the 777 300 er, cause you have only 4 seats... we were only 2 pax out of 4 in FC, it was like flying in a private jet...

on this flight, a very famous soccer player was in BC... he is french and used to play in barcelona...
