Names of Classes of Travel

Different airlines use various names for the classes of travel. As suggested by Al B it may be useful to have a list of the different names in use.


FIRST CLASS
  • First - AA, AS, BA, LH, LX, NH, OS, QF, SA, SQ (except A380), UA, US
  • Diamond - EY
  • L'Espace Premiere - AF
  • Poerava First - TN
  • Royal First - TG
  • Suites - SQ A380

BUSINESS CLASS

DL calls its long-haul Business Class product "BusinessElite." It calls its medium-haul forward cabin (with basically the same fittings as domestic First Class) to Latin American just plain "Business Class."

CO calls its hybrid BusinessFirst.

Prima - business class on medium-haul flights

United's premium economy is Economy Plus or, around here, simply E+. Other than that, they use the standard First, Business, and Economy. They might brand them slightly differently on the transcons that have "p.s." service...I'm not sure. On some of their RJ's, they have "explus" - a somewhat premium economy service for an RJ.

I agree...this is a good candidate for the Wiki, although I haven't really used that much...
