1000 bonus points for email survey
Just received an email offering 1000 points for completing a survey. Deadline for completition is Jan 27.
One of the questions was "do you think PC points redemption rates are more expensive in China" (I am based in China)...perhaps some slight geographic targetting?

Not that it made any difference, as after answering the sixth or seventh question, it was determined that I did not "qualify" to answer any more questions, and therefore will not be receiving the bonus.
BTW, I was immediately disqualified after selecting "other" on that last question. I guess PC doesn't want anyone with an "other" answer.

The survey is definitely targeted as one's PC account number is embedded within the URL string in two places. In addition, a unique (and I assume identifying) alphanumeric sequence is also part of the string. Inserting a different PC account number results in the following error message:
A problem has been detected with your id/password. A common cause of this problem is that you may have inadvertently closed the browser window while taking the survey. If this has happened, please wait 5-10 minutes and then access the survey once again.
Another common cause of this problem is that sometimes e-mail programs can cut a URL into two lines. If your email program does this, please be sure to copy the entire URL from both lines and paste the URL into the address line of your browser. The URL should look something like this...
http:// ask.synovate.net/scripts/mrwebpl.dll?project=example&id=99999999&password=9 99998
