Post Photo Trip Report: Zürich and Istanbul Weekend Getaway (LH F, LX J, TK F)

Taking advantage of Caesar Chavez Holiday (yes, many Angelenos get this day off ), The other bliss and I decided to travel to Istanbul with a stop in Zürich for a long weekend getaway (okay, extra long weekend but for us corporate slaves with only a handful of days off each year, this is as good as it gets). I'm in the process of moving my photo files (all 150 gig of them!) out of my laptop into my external drive. As soon as I post them I'll make the links live:

Great photos! Can I ask what the story behind the little model of the LH jet is?

Just curious: your connection to ZRH was in J/C, not F... but still you could use the FCL and limo, due to having arrived in F ?

Thanks for the great photos by the way! Was it a good sleep and good AVOD ?

Thanks for sharing your excellent photos.

IMHO, one of the two best photographers I have come across on FT so far. (pigx5 being the other).

What camera do you use?

Lufthansa will provide private car service to your gate only if your connecting gate is offsite, regardless of the cabin, that's what we were told. So, because we came in flying F, and our connecting flight was parked near the remote gates, they dispatched a private car for us. The other bliss once connected at FRA onward to a flight in F but they wouldn't send a private car because the connecting flight was NOT parked at a remote gate and they just told the other bliss to walk.

Thank you so much. I have a canon point and shoot (nothing fancy like what you and pigx5 have ). Although during this trip, a small particle seemed to have penetrated through the lens and attached itself to it. I'm not able to remove it, so it looks like I'll have to buy a new camera. Any recommendations?

It looks as though you're getting good use from your Hyatt free nights. I'm looking forward to your pictures from the Park Hyatt Istanbul, which has the most amazing hotel bathrooms I've ever seen.

Wow! What is an excellent trip reports. I'm glad that you are so enjoyable for flying in the F class suite. I know one of my uncle who has already flew on LH out of LAX-MUC-NCE & FCO-MUC-LAX. So I will be in the J class for next flight out on this Sunday. So I am looking forward to it. I will try to take a pictures the cabin shot before other passengers will allow to get inside the aircraft. I will try to ask GA will let me early boarding first to get inside the aircraft. I will try to take lots of those pictures on operating 762ER aircraft. I haven't been flown on it for a long time. I know US will be last operated 767-200ER will be phase out of the fleet. I will try to have more opportunity to get proper permission to get inside the aircraft first and anyone else will allowed to get inside the aircraft.
