Would this work?

I went into Avis.com to reserve the car, put in the SK's AWD plus CC 8250 points coupon on the coupon field (if you go to avisworld you don't get an option for inputting a coupon). I put in the SK FFP at booking and I'm planning on letting them know my CC number when I pick up the car.

This has changed to 1000 points now, instead of the 5000

How long does it normally take for avis rentals to post to the EB account?

Pretty quickly. It showed up on the EB account soon after I got the invoice.

I completed a rental last Sunday and the points were in my account today so less than a week in this case.

2017 offer

http://www.avisworld.com/EuroBonus This offer has been extended for a period in 2017. To obtain the bonus, is one required to use the Eurobonus AWD # to earn EB points, or will any rate qualify? I don't see terms indicating whether the AWD code must be used to earn EB points, either the regular EB points earning or the 5000 points.

The weekend rates tend to be ok. Not worth it if you only want the points only but often a very good deal with the promotion if you want a car anyway. So 2000 points instead of 5000 it is for me.

You don't get points for free

I decided to use an AWD found at avis.se/dk for my next US rental.

This is basically the same thing as the Fortum offer with SAS - you pay a lot more through that subscription rather than a regular subcription.

Since I don't have a car I rent one from the Avis across the street nearly every weekend. Rack rate for a weekend is 89-95€, all the codes for EB come up with 129€. That's just plain nonsense, charging 40€ more for 2000 EB points. They should rather serve up the 50%off weekend rate that Avis Germany posts on their facebook page (which I have been using the past 4 years)

Maybe it just depends on the location. I checked a few upcoming weekends at FRA and I get prices starting at 64,99€ for 2 1/2 days. Quite ok from my point of view for 2000 points.

For some kind of reason i got 500 + 6500 points with Avis on my last rental. Friday 07:00 - Monday 07:00. Thus is more as stated on their website but could be due to the upgrade coupon I used.
