In-Year category changes, and no notification from Club Carlson...

The Park Inn Berlin West and the Park Inn Neumarkt in Germany both had an unannounced category change from Cat 2 to Cat 3. I assume other hotels may also be affected.

Seems to become a policy to just implement changes without informing members (see EMEA 2f1 and 4f2 rate abolishment earlier this year).

The Country Inn & Suites Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH airport locations have also gone from category 2 to 3. These changes also occurred recently.

does the category 1 bratislava park inn

ever have a room, or is the renovation permanent as in there is no category one hotel here?

It seems to be finished from the outside but they have problems with local authorities due to... well, let's just call it slightly unorthodox design, which apparently wasn't part of the original project.

It seems they will have to re-do whole facade...

Wow. I've stayed there, it's okay but I don't know if it should be cat 5.
