What happened to Radisson Blu Edwardian Leicester Square?

Question What happened to Radisson Blu Edwardian Leicester Square?
As per this page:

The hotel has been closed. When did this happen?
Is it being closed for renovations, or will the new hotel being open will be elsewhere? Will there be a new operator for the hotel?

That area, including the old Odeon theater, is under construction. They are constructing a much larger hotel.

Do you know if the construction has any effect on the nearby Radisson Blu Hampshire Hotel?

Would like to know that as well. Have a stay there this week...
Edwardian Leicester Square used to be my regular hotel. I guess I'll be moving to the Hampshire now, although I'm open to suggestions...

In fact, I'm staying at the Hampshire later this week. Will update.

Try the Radisson Edwardian on Bloomsbury.
My favourite of the 4 in central London.

Stayed at the Hampshire. It was fine, just as always. The construction made accessing the hotel with taxi a bit more difficult, but that's about it...

I think I'll try the Covent Garden hotel next time, as I have heard many good things about it...
