All staff at Sabena Belgian World Airlines' Technics unit went back to work today after a meeting between union officials last night concluded that across the board wage increases are not possible.
Denis De Meulemeester of the FGTB union said: "We said that it made no sense because there cannot be a wage increase for the next two years," he said, pointing to Sabena's financial situation.
