Online Check In - 48 or 36 hours?

Trying to check in for NBO DOH CDG 48 hours before the flight, as clearly advertised on the website, but now allowing me. Called Priority Services in Doha, and they said it is 36 hours.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

My experience is 36 hours, which I am sure is the time displayed on the screens in the cabin.

Just flew SIN-DOH-LHR & LHR-DOH-SIN over the last couple of weeks. No problem - I could do OLCI for both flight sectors at 48 hours prior to departure time.

roadwarriorafrica I think you will find that it is the origin that actually decides when OLCI opens but an aircraft change could also trigger the OCI delay.

Thanks for all the feedback. It's now 47 hours prior to wheels up at NBO, and I keep getting the following error:

"Online check-in opens 48 hours before departure. Check-in for flights from the U.S. opens 24 hours prior to departure and check-in for flights to the U.S. opens 24 hours prior to departure from Doha.(WCI-9.2)"

I'll keep trying

Sent a FB Message to Qatar Airways. Their response was:

"This is because your connecting flight DOH-CDG is not yet open for online check-in as it is scheduled on the 27th May."

The short answer is "yes".

The long answer is "it depends".

The detailed answer is:

1. Depends on where from/to.
2. Depends on when the various segments open for checkin.
3. Depends on when the timezone the system lives in.
4. How long is a piece of string?

As with all systems at QR, there's far between the clear cut answers.

At 2036, 40 hours prior to departure, the system allowed me to check in.

Only thing is that there are 4 of us travelling on two separate PNR's and the system does not allow all of us to check in at the same time i.e. two separate independent check-ins. Not an issue, but on KL (Skyteam), it allows various PNR's to be married.
