I will be flying between Auckland and Christchurch on Jetstar. Will I be able to access the Qantas Club. I have OneWorld Emerald Status - BA and AA.

By the Rules, no. (JQ is not a oneworld carrier)

In practice YMMV ...

Now that JQ have taken over domestic NZ routes it's somewhat more unkown.

Even if it is booked under as a QF code share?

"next onward flight that day must be on a oneworld Airline Members operated and marketed flight"

Your flight is OneWorld marketed (QF), but not operated (JQ).

Still, worth trying given that Jetstar is only very new to these routes which were previous QF marketed and operated.

Please do report back on whether or not you got access. Lots of FTers will be affected either way.

I've flown JQ35 to Melbourne and accessed the SYD F Lounge lots of times.

Was I just lucky?

Off to DPS on JQ next Wed week, and planned a very nice lunch...

You were accessing as a QF Platinum FF member and so are entitled to use the lounge when departing on Jetstar

For those wishing lounge access via OW Sapphire/Emerald status, the rules state that passenger must be departing on a flight both Marketed by and Operated by a OW carrier. JQ does not meet that criteria

Since this thread was posted 4 years ago

Nothing has changed for QF Gold/ QF Plat members - who still have access when flying JQ

Nothing has changed for other oneworld Sapp/ Emerald members - who still don't have access when flying JQ, albeit YMMV

It's possible you might have to pay for the additional fee to get the status credits / miles and stuff.

Lounge access when flying Jetstar with QF status was never in question, but thanks for bumping a 5 year old thread..
