Can QF Phone Agents Book Itineraries Unavailable Online?
I need to fly LHR to Australia in Y over the next few days. Normally I book a few weeks ahead at least so I can usually get the flight I want. However availability over the next few days is not great and much more expensive than usual (as expected).
My question is, do QF phone agents have access to more flights on other One World carriers? Eg CX via HK or BA etc? I'd still like to fly QF metal on return in a few weeks.
I try to avoid EK metal at all costs.

If you have QFF points there is plenty availability in February for SYD-LHR. It may be worth a call to travel agents to find reasonable fares for single/return but I don't think you will get much value from QF unless it's for exceptional reasons like a funeral.

Sounds like this is for purchased fare, you can book with QF (acting as travel agent) but you might find better fares/routings going through a real TA or even via http://Momondo.com
