Expert Flyer Question for Partner Award
Hello, Qantas Peeps.
New to OW this year and have a question.
For using AA miles to Asia I have learned to use Qantas.com to find availability. Doing this I was able to find BKK-HKG-LAX in First on Cathay Pacific on the first attempt!
However, I would like to set an EF alert in case the earlier CX flight opens up. But CX doesn't show up on EF.
If I set an EF alert for a First Class HKG-LAX award ticket on Qantas, if and when CX DOES release a seat in FC, will that trigger the alert that Qantas has it available?

To be clear, E/F looks for award seat availability in the booking class as provided by the marketing airline for a flight.
It has nothing to to with the ticketing airline.
