Noticed there is no option to advance order your meal. Did QF discontinue advance ordering?

The Flight details only allow special food types - veggie, kosher, etc.

Which route? QF were only ever offering it on select routes IIRC.

I was offered this for F class MEL-LHR and LHR-SYD just 10 or so days ago.

LAX to MEL, and SYD to LAX

Have been offered before on these routes, but the website is different now.

I can't see this as available in my reservation in J for LAX-SYD in 2 weeks time.

Perhaps Red Roo could chime in and clarify. Please.

It's only available within 7 days of departure http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airl...meal/global/en

Why would QF discontinue advance order for First? It was previously offered.

So QF adds International Economy, but discontinues International First pre-orders?

It did not appear within the 7 day window for me recently, on a LAX-SYD flight following a US flight. The return SYD-LAX, following a QF Y flight, did have the option but the crew had no record of my selection onboard.

I have a flight in 7 days in PE, and it's not appearing either.

Does anyone know if it's offered for QF 107/108 passengers who are connecting to/from JFK, or is it only available to those who have the SYD-LAX-SYD sector booked independently?

And might it show up as an option in a few more days?

Here is a link to the list of flights and cabins that can pre order.

http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airl...erms/global/en

The QF107/108 between LAX and JFK is not available.

It has never been offered in First. Only in J then extended to W, and now to Y flights as the new economy service is introduced between now and March.

Not true. About 1.7 years ago (Feb, 2013), two of us traveled in F on LAX-MEL and we ordered in advance. We were in F since we dined together in one of our F 380 suites, and the FA automatically brought our preordered choice (of course confirming what we ordered when the service started).

I ordered the Fish dish, and the other person ordered the veggie option.

Why are you posting the same info in separate threads?

Because there have been some replies in that other thread. This is the appropriate thread since it deals with F/J. The other thread relates to the introduction of preorders in Y.

Hmmm, given that eoinnz has been working on QF A388's as an FA since they began operation there may be something lost in translation.

The only time I have preordered in First was on QF93 when on the telephone call from the First Lounge the day before I discussed the degustation with that being manually noted

I've pre-ordered once (PE on QF63) and once on the flight, there was no mention of my order. I ended up getting what I ordered anyway (I really wasn't too worried) but it seemed that my online order was completely ignored.
