Not true... Most of their planes are pretty new 738 with the same seating you get on others European airlines in C class. And the service is better than Lufthansa.

For those considering Iran - while it is really a fantastic country and many can now get a visa on arrival, do note one big caveat:

You will lose your right to the US ESTA programme and would have to get a visa at the embassy/consulate instead.

Also, enjoy the interview where you convince a US consular officer that you are not a terrorist or supporting terrorist activities

Have you had experience booking domestic flights in Iran? Seems like its quite difficult / impossible to do from outside Iran!

There's lots of potential pitfalls for US citizens visiting Iran. One guy recently had his entire Bitcoin account on Coinbase locked down after trying to access his account from Tehran. Despite his pleadings he hasn't been able to get back access to his bitcoin stash.

Note to self: store all BTC in a hardware wallet!

I should have clarified that I was talking about their transatlantic flight I took with them about 2-3 years ago.

Flying Blue members can earn and spend Miles on flights that are operated by Ukraine International Airlines and marketed as PS, AF or KL (note - Award Miles only).

So unfortunately when it comes to this deal, the answer to your question is NO.
