It's short; it's TAP; it's one way; it's ex-Europe; it's about ~$1,000...

And this is a deal?

I am not as schooled in these deals as others are. But I have been around the block a couple times… Without extensive research, but with a few comparisons on the same day, I haven't seen anything else this cheap.

Assuming that the same fare is also available one way in the opposite direction, I would considerable a flexible (at least with no min or max stay restrictions) RT business class ticket for under $2000 between the USA and Europe to be a good deal, although LIS and DUB are often pretty cheap. The fact that it's a short route doesn't matter for the pricing but of course this could make it less useful as a MR.

It could also be useful paired with a one-way award ticket from the US.

Very interesting fare for a one way J class, thanks OP. Also available at similar rates to MIA and only $820 or so BCN or MAD to EWR in june and over xmas/new year (haven't checked other months). Available from other Spanish airports that TAP serves at similar levels but comes up as economy on the Iberian leg. Especially interesting as a Brit is $1077 MAN-BOS or MIA (slightly more from LHR) in June, similar in Dec/Jan. Seems to be available in reverse for $300-400 more, or $1600ish for a round trip.

Thanks, OP! This is exactly what I have been looking for! I booked a ticket out of FRA, with Business from FRA-LIS on LH for about $80 more. Great find!

Now here's hoping I get either their new J seats, or the AZUL planes instead of TAP's own old angled seats!

This is very useful because it's a one-way in J from Europe - works in concert with a lot of the J RTs from Europe.

Then go nuts and start in WAW. At least then it is a more reasonable $762*

* does require an overnight in LIS but that is a great city to do one in!

R/T works as well for double the price. New York is a tiny bit more.

You can start in HEL for $50 more.

This is a utility deal. While it may not be the cheapest thing possible, it has a lot of use in being a reasonable deal to get back across the pond for someone who has been bookending trips.

Yes, it's a deal. I bought WAW-BOS oneway for 750usd some weeks ago. It's valid from almost all Central Europe.

I believe LIS-BOS is supposed to be full flat... And TP J earns 200% miles in M&M.

Well...already had a schedule change for my flights in April. Flight now departing about 3 hours earlier LIS-BOS, which required me to get on a TAP flight from FRA-LIS...no more LH, which is disappointing, as I was quite looking forward to LH J.
